Infected nonunıon

• We prefer to apply a principles for the treament of infected nonunion according to Dr.Cierny.
• At the first stage, we remove all infected bone and soft tissue. Then we put the antibiotic beads. Finally, we temporaraly put an external fixator.
• When clinic and laboratory parameters (WBC, CRP, Sed get back to normal), we perform second stage.
• Bone transport and Acute shortening-relengthening techniques are freqently used methods.
• These methods are as reconstruction for second stage.
• Either bone transport or ASR techniques address eradication of infection, united of nonunion, deformity correction, equalization of limb.
